HONOLULU, HI (August 1, 2008) Castle & Cooke Aviation announced today the appointment of two seasoned general aviation professionals to head up its Fixed Base Operation (FBO) that opened at Honolulu International Airport (HNL) on June 10, 2008.
Tony Marlow, an aviation industry veteran with three decades of experience, was appointed General Manager of the new Castle & Cooke Aviation HNL FBO. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Marlow was General Manager of one of the largest Hawker Beechcraft FBO’s located at Van Nuys Airport, formerly known as Raytheon Aircraft Services.
Mr. Marlow is an experienced pilot holding an Airline Transport Pilot license as well as several type ratings. He has an Aerospace Engineering Degree from the University of Southern California and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University. He now resides in Honolulu and attends to the full time management and development of Castle & Cooke’s aviation interests in the state of Hawaii.
Amy Kaleikini, also a veteran of the aviation industry with over 30 years experience in both the airline and general aviation sectors of the market, was appointed to the position of Customer Service Manager responsible for managing the sales and service programs at Castle’s new HNL FBO. Previously, Amy was Customer Service Manager for Swissport Hawaii where she was responsible for airline contract passenger and operations service. Amy has extensive experience is the FBO industry and managed customer service, executive account management, and public relations at other FBOs and charter company operating at HNL.
Castle’s new HNL FBO is located in the former Circle Rainbow building at HNL where Castle invested over $10.0 million to renovate the hangar and office facility into a world class FBO.
The FBO facility is Hawaii’s premier general aviation FBO with an elegantly appointed customer service lounge, 17,600 square feet of hangar space, and 60,000 square feet of Class A office space. The FBO is located on Lagoon Drive with convenient access to the airport’s runway system via Taxiway C.
Castle & Cooke Aviation brings over 27 years of aviation experience and fuel delivery services to the growing Honolulu general aviation community. As an extension of the aviation service program at the new Honolulu FBO, Castle & Cooke Aviation, in conjunction with the Department of Transportation, is expanding the general aviation ramp on the island of Lana’i and will offer Jet A and Avgas fuel service early next year. Castle & Cooke Aviation currently operates the largest corporate aviation facility at Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in Los Angeles where it hangars over 45 private aircraft and flight departments. Castle is also redeveloping the former Daily Drive/Jet Center site at VNY and establishing an FBO. Van Nuys is the busiest general aviation airport in the United States. In addition, Castle & Cooke Aviation operates a full service FBO at Paine Field located in Everett, WA.
